Cosworth has finalised its acquisition of Silverstone-based electrification specialists Delta, strengthening the company’s position at the heart of the transport technology revolution.
Formal completion of the Delta acquisition allows Cosworth to accelerate its offering in electrification. It also affords Cosworth a location at the heart of the UK’s high-performance technology cluster, Silverstone.
Through Delta’s expertise, Cosworth can meet the evolving needs of its customers as they transition to hybrid, EV and fuel cell configurations. Delta’s industry-leading work in battery systems, control systems, electric/hybrid drivetrains, full vehicle programmes, lightweight structures and simulation are a perfect complement to Cosworth’s existing solutions.
Innovative battery and EV solutions are shaping the future of transport. It is here where Cosworth can reinforce its position as a trusted and innovative partner for OEMs globally. Delta’s state-of-the-art facilities allow for advanced development of bespoke battery modules across a multitude of industries, not least automotive, marine and defence.
