C1/C10 ‘MONSTER’ IR BEACON TRANSMITTER (TX)
The C10 ‘Monster’ beacon transmitter is used for lap timing and is a higher powered version of the standard C10 beacon transmitter.
The ‘Monster’ beacon transmitter is placed at the end-of-lap location and is set to Channel 0 and a ‘C1’ or ‘C10’ beacon receiver on the vehicle detects a signal from the transmitter, with the output connected to a logger and / or ECU. A C10 ‘Monster’ beacon transmitter can be found installed as standard at the majority of UK major circuits.
