We produce over 40,000 forgings and 20,000 fully machined pistons p.a. to our customers’ designs. In our dedicated piston facility, our pistons are made to the highest quality levels (and often to tight deadlines) from forgings, machined billet 2618, 4032 or MMC.
From full clean sheet design, to engineering, testing and validation – we support the full piston development cycle. Our reciprocating component design process ensures that piston and con rod designs work in harmony. Our pistons are utilised in a huge variety of different forms of motorsport. Additionally, we work with major OEM customers designing and manufacturing pre-production prototype pistons in a variety of batch sizes. Typically these pistons are machined from billet to allow rapid testing of alternative skirt profiles, crown designs and other features.

We rigorously adhere to ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standard and operate a fully audited supply chain. We also offer NDT and CMM inspection in-house.

CLASSIC AND HISTORIC PISTONS
No matter whether we are reproducing pistons to original designs using our 3D mapping and reverse engineering expertise or completely redesigning in order to reduce mass, enhance performance and improve reliability, we design and produce the best solution for numerous classic car restoration and racing customers.
We have been supplying piston forgings to the Aerospace sector for many years. However, we also manufacture fully machined pistons for use in both historic and modern aero engines.
We work with major OEMs designing and manufacturing pre-production prototype pistons in a variety of batch sizes. Typically these pistons are machined from billet to allow rapid testing of alternative skirt profiles, crown designs and other features. In addition, we also have the facility to manufacture large batch sizes of production pistons.
We are a leader in MMC piston technology, having been involved in a large number of projects and extensive tooling and machining trials to understand MMC for pistons. Our MMC Pistons display: exceptional stiffness, high strength, high fatigue strength, high tensile strength at elevated temperatures and wear resistance.
