Over the years, we’ve achieved many firsts as a business, each as meaningful and important as each other in their own ways. It’s important to celebrate milestones.
On the occasion of Earth Day 2020, we wanted to take a moment to focus on steps we have taken on a much longer, and more important journey, one that puts positive societal change at its very heart.
Since 2017-18, as a result of a sustained effort from all employees within our organisation, we have been rated as zero-to-landfill. We are pleased to have retained that status into 2019, and we continue to make concerted efforts in this area.
A report from Biffa, the UK’s leading integrated waste management company, confirmed that of the 41 tonnes of waste produced, all of it was either recycled or turned into refuse-derived fuel. Zero to landfill.
This progress represents a small, but important milestone for our company, one we take time to acknowledge, as we strive to play our part in shaping a better world.
