  • To deliver engineering objectives set by Chief Engineer, Principal Engineer and/or specific engineering Project Leader, working either individually or as part of a project team.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports as necessary to keep department management fully informed of project status.
  • Ensure that quality of work is compatible with the standards required within Cosworth and that all relevant standards are abided by.
  • In addition to the above, the Engineer will be expected to fulfil any other reasonable requirement consistent with departmental objectives.
  • Support the Company‚Äôs compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.


  • Good class degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent qualification.
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the operating principles of the internal combustion engine.
  • Able to interpret technical information to generate a logical series of actions based on the implementation of sound engineering practice.
  • Able to show an understanding of the commercial and manufacturing implications of engineering actions.
  • Able to communicate effectively on a technical level with other engineers, both within and external to Cosworth. This includes the compilation of written reports, verbal communications and presentations.
  • Have a good understanding of commonly used office software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Able to organize own workload in an effective manner.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to improving skills through relevant training and experience.
  • Have a passion for engineering and problem solving.
