As our 60th anniversary celebrations continue, we will be paying homage to our motorsport heritage this week as we attend Historic Motorsport International (HMI) at London’s Excel from 15-18 February.

The popular HMI show is a fitting occasion for us to reflect on 60 Years of Cosworth, and how our decades of motorsport experience continue to inform and inspire who we are as a company today.

All attendees to the event are welcome to join us on stand DC7, from where we will be showcasing some of the success stories from Cosworth’s extensive history. We will also be sharing updates from the event across our social media channels.

The DFV engine, which still holds the record for the most wins in Formula 1 history, will be on display. The engine achieved 155 Grand Prix victories from 262 races in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and helped Cosworth become the second most successful engine supplier in F1, an honour we continue to hold to this day.

Visitors will also be able to get up-close-and-personal with a DJR1 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500. The car has race-winning pedigree with Dick Johnson in the 1987 Australian Touring Car Championship and later contested the 1989 British Touring Car Championship with Robb Gravett, claiming four races wins and fourth place in championship.

While finally our powertrain experts will be conducting a live build of a real XG Cosworth engine, designed and built for the Chevrolet IndyCar teams from 2003-2005. The XG achieved three victories in its debut season of the IRL IndyCar series, with all three wins coming from three-time IndyCar champion Sam Hornish Jr.

HMI will also be the first opportunity to purchase our official 60th anniversary merchandise. Following the success of our specially engraved XG pistons and finger follower keyrings, the range now features shirts, badges and more with our 60th anniversary logo. The merchandise will later be available to order from our online store, which will launch later this year.

Our experts will be present on all four days of the exhibition to discuss our powertrain and electronic solutions past, present and future.

We hope to see you there!
