Our world class testing and validation facilities give us the peace of mind at each stage of the Cosworth value chain. In engine development, it allows us to meet – and exceed – performance, emissions and fuel economy standards to set new industry benchmarks.
DYNO
Our ten engine dynamometers offer a mix of fully transient capabilities to simulate real-world conditions and more conventional specifications. Featuring air control, emissions capabilities, hybrid powertrains and rigs for specific component or systems testing, through our dynos we can understand if targets are being met, even at the earliest stages of a programme.

CONVENTIONAL
Seven conventional dynos offer ratings up to 650kW, and feature Horiba Mexa emissions sampling equipment and Kistler and AVL indicating equipment. We are in the process of upgrading on of these testbenches to become fully transient.

TRANSIENT
We have three full transient dynos, two at 1000kW and one at 300kW. The testbenches enable a speed range from 1,000 to 24,000 rpm in full combustion air conditioning and control. They also feature two AVL transient wheel motors for driveline testing.
