Customers are at the centre of our culture. We focus on a ‘going above and beyond’ approach to ensure that we develop long-standing relationships. It’s ‘the Cosworth way’.

EVALUATION
We have all the capabilities in-house to take projects from a blank-sheet idea through to a fully validated and approved product. This provides customers with a single point of contact for their project, minimising cost and complexity that can be generated by hand-offs between suppliers. We’ve specialised in engine technology for over six decades with a dedicated workforce of designers, development experts and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.

DESIGN
Our design and analysis professionals all work closely on projects that generates a tight feedback loop to allow efficient optimisation of design. Our expertise is unrivalled: from high BMEP boosted engines to ultra-high-speed units, high thermal efficiency concepts to integration of advanced technology, we have the knowhow in-house to create the most complex and efficient products for our customers.

ANALYSIS
We deploy a suite of advanced analysis capabilities that covers engine structure, FEA and fatigue analysis, GT Power & GT Suite 1D analysis on full powertrain, multi body dynamic analysis, engine thermal analysis, CFD of coolant flow, port CFD, in-cylinder airflow simulation and combustion simulation.

PROTOTYPE
In-house machining from our Advanced Manufacturing Centre allows us to create prototype and niche volume components, while our ten engine dynamometers offer fully transient capabilities, combustion air control and emissions analysis. Our approach makes use of a mule engine to replicate stresses and understand early on in the process whether performance, emissions and fuel economy targets can be met. We are also able to run full hybrid powertrains on a range of rigs for specific component and systems checks.

A V12 like no other! We’ve pushed the boundaries developing the #engine for the @PlanetGMA T.50s Niki Lauda. The naturally aspirated #V12 weighs just 162kgs and revs to 12,100rpm – that’s more power than the T.50. https://bit.ly/3aW68Fe #Automotive #Engineering
