Cosworth unveils Lightwave at Amsterdam METS
Cosworth Group has today unveiled a new product, the LightWave, at the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam which will help performance sailing teams by providing advanced data logging along with detailed real time wind analysis.
Cosworth has applied its world class motorsport technology to performance sailing to create the LightWave, a real-time processor, data logger and controller solution based on the Lightweight Sigma range of products with added functionality of a real-time wind processor.
The LightWave system delivers insight and data to teams in training and includes software and configuration tools that are currently used by the world's top sailing teams in the Americas Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and Open 60's. Cosworth Group has developed an onboard wind processing algorithm that can be used straight from the box, or customised to suit a specific racing platform.
