Cosworth Announced as Technical Supplier to America’s Cup Challenger
Cosworth Group has been announced as a technical supplier to Artemis Racing, the Challenger of Record for the 34th America's Cup.
Cosworth Group is already providing technology transferred from the pinnacle of world motor sport - Formula One, to help leading teams and sailors find their winning margin. The world of performance sailing is a hotbed for technology development and Cosworth Group electronics have become key components in the armoury of champions in offshore and inshore racing.
Cosworth Group is not new to the America's Cup having supplied teams in the previous two matches. Artemis Racing will, however, be the first Challenger to use Cosworth Group's brand new LightWave Processor. The system features advanced sensors and analysis software to enable the Artemis Racing team to acquire the maximum amount of data from their AC45 and AC72 craft during the development programmes leading up to the 34th America's Cup in 2013.
