Main Purpose of Position:
Supporting Professional Motorsport customers via telephone and trackside support for our range of electronic data acquisition and control systems. Seek out commercial opportunities for Cosworth. Working with engineering to develop existing and introduce new products, including working on functional and technical specification documents.
Helping customers use Cosworth products to extract and exploit data to drive higher performance. Ensure products deliver the reliability that customers expect in Cosworth solutions and support.
Specific Responsibilities:
Working in conjunction with other engineers to support professional motorsport series such as;
- Formula Series
- Le Mans Series
- FIA GT
- Testing and reporting of new hardware and software releases
- Data and control systems definition
- Loom design
- Prioritisation of support duties
Ensuring commercial opportunities are exploited and tracked to maximise potential profit and revenue streams.
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
- 2:1 or higher Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
- Highly motivated, self starter with ability to work under own initiative
- Good IT knowledge
- Commercial awareness with experience in a customer facing role
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Willingness to travel often at very short notice
- Familiarity with the motorsport data and controls systems market and customer base
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Project management skills
- Systematic approach to problem solving
- Professional demeanour for dealing with executive customers and high level engineers
