To support our ongoing business, we are now recruiting for a Design Engineer to join our Engineering Business Unit.
The main purpose of the position is to provide world class design and development for a wide variety of racing, OE prestige and aftermarket engineering solutions, in a growing business.
Specific Responsibilities:

Create CAD models and drawings for a variety of components using Unigraphics NX6.

Produce and maintain assemblies, master material data and BOM's in CAD and SAP.

Able to exercise independent technical judgement, using sound engineering principles and appropriate experience.

Effective in planning and management of work priorities

Understand and take account of technical, commercial and competitive factors that characterise Cosworth manufacturing.

Able to interact with others to operate effectively within group activities.

Liaise with metallurgy in defining possible failures and materials issues.

Actively support DFM.

To deliver the engineering objectives set by the Business Unit Leader.

Deal with customer requirements and supply design solutions.

Maintain group Engineering standards.
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
Essential:
- Minimum 2:1 Degree in mechanical engineering (or other suitable field)
- An understanding of machined components and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods
- CAD experience (modelling and drafting)
Desirable:
- Unigraphics experience.
- SAP experience
